Matter-Centric Litigation Support Project Management
Doculogix organizes all litigation support work around the client and the matter, so every project, service request, and task is tied to the case it belongs to. Litigation support teams, eDiscovery providers, and law firms get one structured place to track work across many concurrent matters, instead of scattered spreadsheets and email threads.
How it works
How It Works
Client and Matter at the top
Every piece of work starts with a client and a matter. Matters hold the case context your team needs, so work never floats unattached.
Projects group related work
Within a matter, projects group related work such as a collection, a review, or a production, so you can see progress on each workstream separately.
Service requests capture the ask
Case teams submit service requests against a project, describing exactly what they need. Each request carries its matter and client context automatically.
Tasks carry out the work
When a service request is submitted, tasks are automatically created based on its service request type and can be auto-assigned to an individual, department, or group. Tasks are then tracked and timed, and time logged on them rolls up through the hierarchy to billing and reporting.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
- What does matter-centric mean in Doculogix?
- It means all work is organized under a client and a matter. Projects, service requests, and tasks always belong to a specific matter, so you can see and report on everything done for a case.
- What is the hierarchy in Doculogix?
- Client, then Matter, then Project, then Service Request, then Task. Each level inherits context from the level above it, so a task always knows which request, project, matter, and client it belongs to.
- How does the matter structure help with billing?
- Time and expenses are captured on tasks and roll up through the hierarchy, so invoices can be generated by client and matter without manual reconciliation.
- Is the matter-centric structure available in both PTS and EWM?
- Yes. Both the Project Tracking System (PTS) and the eDiscovery Workflow Manager (EWM) organize work by client and matter, and they can be used together for organizations that handle both service lines.
